Sharjah Art Foundation announces an open call for the thirteenth edition of Vantage Point Sharjah (VPS13), a platform dedicated to lens-based practice that has expanded since 2013 from a local showcase to an international programme. The Foundation is seeking proposals for new bodies of photographic work that engage critically with contemporary practice. Submissions are free and open to photographers of all nationalities; the programme prioritises new work while allowing discussion of select existing pieces with the curatorial team.

Why this matters
Vantage Point Sharjah is a recognised regional platform for contemporary photography; participation connects practitioners to international curatorial networks, production resources and critical exposure. The production grant enables photographers to realise ambitious projects that may otherwise be difficult to produce independently.
